This month’s little box of goodies from The Indie Memory Box is centered around honey, the sticky, sweet goodness that is also wonderful for your skin.
I’ll be honest that I wavered a little bit on getting this box because honey as a fragrance isn’t something I’ve embraced before and I noticed that it looked like there would be only 3 items instead of 4. I’m also a teeny bit put off by some of the ingredients I’ve seen in products so far, but, to be honest, I’ve been relaxing a bit on things for products that I wash off at least when I’m just testing them out or using a trial/mini size. That’s a personal choice, of course, and I still urge you to read the ingredients on anything you use and make educated choices. Anyway, I’m actually really glad I grabbed this box (yeah, okay, so I wavered for about half a day, no way I was going to miss out!) and I’m excited to share what’s in it with you.
Look at how cute that little bee art is and the bright yellow paper is so cheerful! This actually arrived in my inbox on Friday, but somehow I lost my mind and didn’t check my mail until Saturday morning (because I was busy with events on Saturday). So Saturday morning I opened it as quickly as I could and barely maintained the patience to take the photos before opening everything up! I am so not kidding. Let’s take a look:
Savor Black Honey Whipped Soap
At first sniff I wasn’t sure about this because it’s different than my usual bakery/cake/cookie scents, but it grew on me pretty darn quickly in the shower when I used it. It’s a black tea scent with a bit of honey, just like I drink my tea in the morning. A small amount gives a very satisfying lather in your hands and the fragrance lasts after you get out of the shower. It last at least half a day on me, although it was very subtle after I dried off, not super intense, which I think is perfect for a scented soap. This is a vegan product.
This is the 2 oz. size which is $4.50 in the Savor Etsy shop.
Good4You Facefood
I was so, so excited to see Good4You aka PlantMakeup included as one of the indie brands included in this month’s box! This Face Food is an all natural facial mask that contains only seaweed, honey, French green clay, and basil essential oil. I absolutely love the little glass jar! I’m really looking forward to trying this.
This is the 1/8 oz. jar which is $6 in the Good4You Etsy shop.
This is lovely massage bar made by The Indie Memory Box creators and is made of shea butter that has been scented with wildflowers and honey. I’ve never tried a massage bar before, so I’m looking forward to using this one. The scent is pretty subtle, not heavy, but it does smell wonderful.
Because this product was made for the box I’m not sure of the value of it, but I think these are usually somewhere around $7 to $9+ each.
Total Product Value: $17.50+

I purchased the box for this review. All opinions are my own honest thoughts.
